I can’t do a lot of work around the house. But when folks come to help the first question is where is your drill. This set was great with impact AND Drill. Two batteries. I am aware DeWalt upgraded to larger size. This 20v is a great set, awesome dollar value and if I do use it it is smaller and can reach in tight places easier. I HAVE MY VERY OWN DEWALT DRILL AND IMPACT. Queen! For a day.

No cords to trip over
When I first received the tools, had a problem with the adjuster, returned the kit and got another one in like 3-5 days. Since that debacle I haven’t got anything to say but, great buy, great product. I use them quite a lot, thanks Dewalt and amazon!

Works good
My old drill was on its last legs and the batteries kept failing. This guy weights less and is just as powerful. I haven’t used the impact driver much but it seems good. Time will tell about the batteries.

I have never used an Impact Driver before. I now love Impact Drivers!
This review is to help inform a first-time buyer.What is an Impact Driver? – An Impact Driver is just an electric screwdriver on crack. It is capable of torquing whatever you want, however hard you want it.However like Uncle Ben once said: “With great power comes great responsibility.”You will never ever ever have trouble screwing anything again with this tool. Just make sure that you are DELICATE with the trigger. You only need to hold it lightly like the gas pedal of a car to screw something in, and it will provide feedback once it has been screwed in all the way.The extreme power of an Impact Driver allows you screw bolts in FAST, which was the reason I got this. I own a StepManiaX arcade dance game machine, and unscrewing the hex bolts for the panels to perform cleaning and maintenance is an incredibly time consuming task when doing it by hand. A job that used to take 2 to 3 hours now takes 1 to 1.5 hours with this thing, as it cuts out the time of unscrewing all 40 hex bolts by hand.The main reason I chose this listing on Amazon is because it was $120 on Black Friday. You get a drill, a charger, and two batteries included too which is an amazing deal for $120. I noticed the other day though while at Home Depot looking for a big toolbox to store all this in (along with my other tools), that they sell an identical Impact Driver + Drill bundle with the “Atomic” versions for $150 (something to keep in mind, as this does not seem to be price matched by Amazon). So if you care about having the versions that are slightly lighter/smaller, I would recommend going there to purchase this kit.I don’t care to return the bundle because it works great, and the grip feels very ergonomic (especially with the battery attached) so I don’t feel like a loss of weight would affect my usage of the tools.

Got this set for a great price on sale. I have cordless Makita drill-drivers (brushed and brushless). My sons are both Dewalt fans, and got me thinking I should try Dewalt, so when the sale came out it was a no-brainer. I really like my Makita drill-drivers; good power, excellent weight and balance, and good clutch. I really hate Makita replacement battery costs.After using these Dewalt drill-drivers for a while, I would say they are good, and should make most people happy; but I do like my Makita drill-drivers a little better for me. First, the Dewalts are a bit heavier and a bit less balanced, partly because of a bigger battery although the tools alone a a bit heavier. This is an issue for me because I have significant arthritis in my hands, and have had aristropathy. Power-wise I think both are on par, with maybe Dewalt having a slight edge over Makita. Noise-wise, the Dewalts seem louder especially when letting go of the trigger. The Dewalts snap to a stop with a clack of the brake; the Makitas don’t have this immediate brake. I’m actually not sure why this brake is needed, but it does contribute to the increased noise. The last major difference is the clutch mechanism. There is a lot written about this online. In a nutshell, when chucking a bit into the Dewalt, you can run the drill to close the chuck on the bit, but once it is tight, you *must* use your hand on the chuck to manually close it further. If you don’t you run the risk of centrifugal force loosening the bit when the drill brake engages after releasing the trigger. This is why there are comments about bits falling out. I don’t notice this with the Makitas.So in the end, I do like the Makitas a little better than the Dewalts, but only a little, and I hate Makita battery pricing. I think that for most people, the weight and balance of the Dewalts will be fine. I also think that the little manual snugging of the chuck when chucking the bit will become second nature over time.What did I do? I kept the Dewalt set. It was a good deal. I will likely use my Makitas more for long projects, and manually rebuild the Makita batteries. For every day projects, or short projects, I’ll use whichever comes to hand first (Dewalt or Makita) and be happy.

My old Dewalt impact & DillHad finally wore out. Being dropped numerous times & chuck’s wore out. Was so pleased with my old set I opted for a new set & being the price was $139 for the set it was affordable for me. Why are Batteries so expensive? Replacements prices are ridiculous $$$high & the off brands that fit the Dewalt fall out of every Dewalt tool I have. Them aren’t worth the paper thereAdvertised on. It’s a dewalt
I always buy quality tools. This drill and hammer dril set will do everything a non contractor needs. I have put in 8″ lag bolts using the drill to do a pilot hole and then the hammer drill. I have a fenced 3 acres. I had repair work to do. I used the drill for all of the work and never had to change the battery.. Great product. It has the same power as my electric drill.

Money Makers
I make a living with my tools, so I need them to perform reliably, and can count on Dewalt to do just that. I don’t watch youtube videos to see which can run a 3″ screw faster, or all that stuff. I see these tools, and many other brands, used on job-sites every day. I see them get strained, I see them get abused, how ergonomic they are, their quirks, and how long they last. I know people who swear by teal, red, and orange. And I have nothing bad to say about those brands. But honestly I see 2-3:1 ratio of yellow and black on construction sites. I have used Dewalt tools over 20yrs of my career, and just haven’t seen anything from another true commercial grade brand power tool that would make me consider changing brands.
