Excellent tool for a DIYer. My first use of this tool was yesterday. It was a very pleasant and rewarding experience. It cut through a 6 inch wood smoothly that if not for the saw dust exhausting out, I did not initially believe that it was sawing the wood. A reviewer who described his experience as “cutting through butter” is absolutely correct. It cut effortlessly and smoothly. It is light weight and yet did not transmit much vibration to my hands. I like the safety buttons that prevent an accidental triggering. I found removing the attached spanner and releasing the depth adjustment lever stiff. Perhaps this is intentional by design so the spanner does not come out loose from the storage compartment while you are carrying the saw.This is very good. I also think that the depth adjustment lever being stiff is also an added advantage, so the depth adjustment stays put at the depth of cut you adjusted the blade to. Overall., I have been impressed with this circular saw. For an occasional DIYer such as myself, this is well within my budget and well priced by the manufacturer. Well done, SKIL. My only disappointment is that all the available dust collectors on Amazon are not compartible with this SKIL saw. I hope the manufacturer can go a step further and design a dust collect system that will work with SKIL circular saws.

I can’t say enough good things about this saw. I enjoy using it. It runs smooth. The laser helps tons. And unlike my previous Ryobi, this thing hasn’t tried to kill me.The Ryobi I have ran really rough and I think it may have had a hit out on me. I’m surprised I haven’t lost any limbs.I bought this Skil circular saw after previously having purchased two skil chainsaws. I was really happy with those chainsaws (so happy I bought two of the same one), so I decided to buy this circular saw as well in hopes that maybe I wouldn’t lose any limbs…. And actually be able to make a clean cut… something the Ryobi couldn’t do even if Bob Villa were using it.It’s so awesome and it’s surprisingly quiet. I feel a lot safer using this saw, especially because it has a safety button. And I very much appreciate the laser.I would buy this saw again, but I don’t think I’ll have to because the one I just bought seems high enough quality to last me a while. I would definitely recommend this saw to anyone considering buying a circular saw. It was also the best price.

Fast shipping! I got this the next day very happy to receive it. The built looks solid and they instructions easy to follow to install the blade. I like the blade shield being metal, it came with a nice bag and a wrench (not bad for a simple Circular Saw) I’ll post an update video once the rain is over for a test on this 15 amp Circular Skil Saw.

I love this little saw. The guard on the front needs to “be adjusted” but that’s with any new circular saw. I put a Denali blade on it to try the blade out and it works great. I oil/wax my blades to help with heat and ease of cutting. This was a great value-I reach for it all the time when I just need something cut without super precise measurements. Even then, it’s pretty precise on 2x4s, etc… and small sheets.

Product is fantastic for $60. Works just as well as other saws I have used and is a fraction of the price. Cuts fast & stops quick! Would definitely recommend.Comes with a 24T Framing blade on it. I personally swapped for a 40T Spyder blade but I am loving it!

Few times i get a product and I’m extremely happy about it, this is one of them. At first i didn’t really like the ‘color’, but it was ok, as I played around with it i noticed the nice design features it has. Very well engineered.Note, this is my ‘first’ ever circular saw, so i don’t have much reference points, however, I like it very much. I do have some other cutting tools, but never a circular saw.So I used it to cut some wood that I needed to cut through 2.5 inches, which this 7 1/4″ blade you will have to divide that by two and then reduce some more to figure out the length it can cut, so this saw length barely was able to cut at length of 2.5 inches, if you need to cut anything larger than 2.5 inches i think you will need to jump into the 10″ circular saw.Note, this is quite powerful circular saw at 15 amps.Price wise this is a great value for your money in my opinion, other higher end brands will costs probably double. I do not have an extreme heavy use for it, it is just for hobbies and fixing stuff, so this fits perfect for me and my budget. Happy with my purchase.

It cuts great.I like it, I always like skil tool. I had good luck with them. I have one for about 15 years. This is my second one, but the way, first one is still going, I keep two with different blades, my other name brand quit.
